Xiaomi, Samsung Making Snapdragon-powered Windows 10 Laptop:- Qualcomm and Microsoft recently announced that they plan to launch the first Windows 10 devices with ARM-based processors in the first quarter of 2018.
Meanwhile, HP, Asus, and Lenovo will all be launching laptops, and convertibles powered by Snapdragon 835 processor.
The prices expected to range from $500-800 (Rs 33,000-Rs 51,100 approximately).
The latest reports showed, the smartphone giants Xiaomi, Samsung Making Snapdragon-powered Windows 10 Laptop.
There isn’t much information available about Samsung and Xiaomi‘s laptop. But as per leaks, this laptop will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC, and it will be very light, and thin. Apart from that, the company is also confirmed to be working on long battery life, and support for 4G LTE technology.
Xiaomi last year entered the PC segment with the launch of its first laptop Mi Notebook Air which is a truely great device.
Earlier this year, Xiaomi launched the successor called, Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch. The Notebook comes with a 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor clocked at 3.0GHz. It comes with 8GB of RAM, and also features 128GB/256GB solid state drive internal storage that can be expandable further via microSD card.
Xiaomi has good experience on undercut its competitors on price and that’s what the company is expected to do with its Snapdragon-powered PCs as well.
With Windows on Snapdragon, Microsoft says users will be able to run programs such as Google Chrome and Adobe Photoshop without compromising battery life.
In terms of raw horsepower, early benchmarks suggest Windows devices with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor tend to perform about as well as a machine with an Intel Apollo Lake low-power processor in terms of raw horsepower, while models with Qualcomm chips are expected to sell for higher prices than computers with their Intel counterparts. So the emphasis will be on the always-on, always-connected, ultraportable features.
Xiaomi, Samsung Making Snapdragon-powered Windows 10 Laptop:- This will be great to have light and thin laptops on our laps. As we know that Snapdragon 835 is the most powerful mobile processor. So we could also expect the dual boot on this laptop ie., Windows and Android simultaneously. This laptop will be great for lite work such as making the presentation, watching videos etc.
